experience trouble, disappointment, frustration, doubt, and even failure, sometimes because of the choices of others and sometimes because of their own. But there’s a BIG difference. We know whatever life brings our way, we never have to go it alone. In the good and the bad, God is there to see us through. And Who better? He knows us better than we know ourselves, He has a totally awesome plan for each one of us, and he wants to help us make most of every opportunity to experience it. Read Isaiah 41:10.
TUESDAY: Wondering where to begin? (When it comes to discovering God’s unique and totally awesome plan for your life, that is.) The answer’s pretty simple. ASK! Take the time to talk to God through prayer, but don’t forget to listen, too, by reading His Word and seeking the help and advice of other Christians He’s placed in your life.
Just like the people of Israel in the days of the prophet Jeremiah, God will reveal Himself and His will to you — if you choose to seek Him. Re-read Jeremiah 29:12-13. Will you choose to “seek [Him]...with all your heart” today?
WEDNESDAY: As you choose to seek God and His Son Jesus Christ, you’ll naturally grow in your knowledge of God and the things He wants you to do. Your focus will begin to shift from this world and the things that satisfy you in the here and now to the
things that honor and glorify God and help others come to know Him, too. You’ll
begin to discover that God has some work for you to do — not the “oh, do I really have to?” drudgery you might expect but the “Wow, I get to be a part of this?” joy of something really special! It’s like God picked you for His winning team and you’re playing a position He’s held just for you. Read Ephesians 2:10, and thank Him today for your life, His work of art.
THURSDAY: Life is filled with ups and downs. Sometimes you may even wonder, “Where is God in all of this?” But it’s important to trust Him even when you don’t understand. He sees the big picture of your life; you just see “right now.” God’s goal is not to harm you but to bring you closer to His heart. He’s with you every step of
the way, and He’ll never, ever let you go. Check out Isaiah 43:2, and take a few
minutes to thank God for His presence in your life. Ask Him to give you the
courage to trust Him no matter what life brings your way.
FRIDAY: Do you truly believe God wants the very best for you? Even when His best isn’t what you had in mind? Read Isaiah 55:8-9...and remember, God is God and we are not. We may not always understand His ways, but we can ALWAYS trust His heart. Now read Romans 8:37-39, and take a minute to thank God that even when life doesn’t make sense you can always trust His love for you.
SATURDAY: Life isn’t always easy. But with God on your side, you don’t have to accept defeat! He sent His Son Jesus to the cross so that you—yes, you!—could experience life to the fullest. Read Romans 8:28 and 31. Will you choose to “live it out” for Him today? When you’re with Him, nothing can stand in your way!
