Tuesday: Mark 15:24 simply says, “They crucified Him.” Have you ever thought about who “they” were…are? That’s right, WE – our sin – put Jesus on the cross. That’s the bad news. But the good news is that’s not the end of the story. Read Mark 16:6. On the third day, He rose again in victory over sin and death. Because He lives, we can live, too – in freedom from sin and in the promise of heaven when we die or He returns!!
Wednesday: If we truly recognize what God did for us through His Son Jesus Christ, we’ll want to honor Him in the way we live. It’s not an easy task, but it’s not something you have to do on your own. In fact, once you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you’re never, ever alone. He promises to be with you every step of the way! Check out Romans 8:31-39. He DIED for you. Will you LIVE for Him?
Thursday: Maybe you’ve accepted Jesus’ gift of salvation, but still struggle with the guilt of your sin. Sometimes the person we find hardest to forgive is ourself!! But Psalm 103:12 reminds us that at the moment we come asking forgiveness we are forgiven. He tells us that he’s removed our sins from us “as far as the east is from the west.” Can’t get much further than that! So live in the joy of His forgiveness. It’ll change your life, and those around you will definitely start to notice, too!
Friday: Many people in our world today don’t really know what “true love” is all about. Is it the latest romantic relationship? Is it being given what you want, when you want it? Is it feeling all warm and fuzzy inside? All of these things might feel good for a time, but they won’t last forever! Only true love – love that comes from God will last forever. Read I John 3:16. Simply put, if you know Jesus Christ, you know love. Have you experienced it? Have you shared it?
Saturday: Remember, the Good News of the Gospel – Jesus loving sacrifice for the sins of the world – is news that is way too good to keep to yourself! This Easter, why not make a point of starting a conversation with someone in your life who doesn’t know the true significance of the season? Not sure what to say? Check out http://www.dare2share.org (with your parent’s permission, of course!) for some great ideas.
